Justin Bieber announces new album; shares new single featuring Kehlani
Justin Bieber confirms that his fifth album is coming out next month.
In addition to the new album announcement, Bieber shared new easy-going, laid back single 'Get me' which features Kehlani.
The announced album will be Bieber's follow-up to 2015's Purpose. The album is out on February 14 via RBMG/Def Jam. The newly shared single is a follow up to this month's 'Yummy'.
While Get me comes off as a pretty chill song, the atmosphere around 'Yummy' was everything but chill. After sharing the song, earlier this month Bieber retweeted fan-made instructions to get his song to #1 on the charts. Instructions included buying the song multiple times on Bieber’s website, playing the Youtube video multiple times and not skipping ads, playing the song on low volume while sleeping, and buying the song on iTunes.
Needles to say, this move was seen more like a desperate cry for attention than as a weird take on marketing.
Canadian star will also head out on a US tour which begins at Seattle’s CenturyLink Field on May 14. Further dates outside of the US are yet to be confirmed, writes NME.
