Description

For this record the guys from Limburg DeWolff went to the deep south. From the United States, that is. The trio approached Mark Neill in Georgia, who has experience in the genre: he produced the successful Black Keys album Brothers. DeWolff just does what it is good at at Grand Southern Electric: the group takes us back to 1972 and treats us to a delicious mix of blues rock, prog and psychedelics. Mark Neill has opted for a relatively empty sound. After all, DeWolff is a trio and it should sound like that. The three musicians are equal and are given a 'moment of fame' several times. It's nice that when one of them starts a solo, you know it will end well. These guys are envious of their instruments. Let's hope it never turns out to be 1980 for De Wolff.
