How These Music Stars are Celebrating 4/20 Online

Happy 4/20 everyone!

Your cannabis enjoying plans may be dampened by the lockdown but that’s not stopping many of your favorite music stars from celebrating. Here are some ways you can keep the spirit alive the virtual way.

Until now, Dr. Dre’s album The Chronic was available only on Apple Music. Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and Cypress Hill were planning a Red Rocks party to celebrate its digital release. Although that event is no longer happening, fans can still enjoy a live streaming deejay set which will be taking place at 4:20 today on the artist’s media company’s Instagram.

You can also drop in on hip hop artist Jim Jones’ Zoom smokeout sessions with Alex Todd of Saucy Farms and Extracts. Jadakiss and Kevin Hart will be dropping by.

There will be several online benefits to raise funds for COVID relief and The Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people who have gotten into legal trouble due to cannabis possession. Known weed advocate and country singer Willie Nelson will be hosting one of these events scheduled to last four hours and twenty minutes. It will include musical guests, cannabis experts, comedians and more.

Another event not to be missed is the Highstream 420 Festival. The Emerald Cup and Natural Cannabis Festival have both been canceled this year but the promoters are joining forces to present the Highstream event. It will feature speakers, interactive panels and musical guests like Melissa Etheridge, The Pharcyde and Disco Biscuits. It will stream from 4-10 on NugsTV and funds will be raised to help those impacted by COVID.

Those supporting the Colorado community may be interested in dropping in on Colorado for a Cause. This event will be raising funds to help workers impacted by the event cancellations and business closures that have taken place in the state. The lineup includes Disco Biscuits (who apparently will be making the rounds), Thievery Corporation, Lotus and comedians Doug Benson, Ron Funches, Beth Stelling and more.

The Great American Sesh In will also be taking place today. This online music and arts festival will feature weed icons like Tommy Chong, B Real, Citizen Cope, Too Short and Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation. Also making appearances will be cannabis industry stars like Steve DeAngelo and Amber Senter and comedian Billy Anderson of the Gateway Show. The hosts are partnering with cannabis brands and there will be plenty of 4/20 special offers available. This event will stream from Twitch from 11 AM to 6 PM PST and donations will be collected to benefit the COVID fund Direct Relief.

4/20 during the lockdown may not seem like a lot of fun, but fortunately, there are plenty of online events that can brighten up your day. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em and happy 4/20!
