A record setting record sale.

You often hear people dishing out quite a bit of cash for their "holy grail", an album that has been on their wish list for a very long time and was never within reach because of the rarity.
However, nothing beats this auction. When the hammer dropped at Julien's live action, Ringo Starr's copy of The White album by the Beatles, the price went up to a whopping US$790.000. Why? Because it's numbered 0000001. The first ever pressing of this album. It's common that the first 4 pressings are/were in the 4 band members's collections and the lowest number of a Beatles ever sold was number 0000005.

What's the most you've ever paid for an album and which album was that?
