Get your album pressed on vinyl
Music just sounds better on vinyl. It's the artwork, the ritual of taking the record out of the cover, the cleaning, the taking care of it that's appealing to most collectors. Reach those people by getting your music on vinyl. We have connections that can make it happen for less than $10 per record. Even if you want a milky brown marbled, 180 gram record with a full colour label in a matte gatefold and popping inner sleeves with rich colours. We can make it happen.
Distribute your album on vinyl
You don't have to clutter your kitchen table with boxes of records, packing tape and bubble wrap. We can handle it for you. When we get your music pressed, we'll have it shipped to us directly. We're already set up for the shipping process. You don't have to worry about it.
Distribute your album as digital download
Of course, your fans don't all own turntables. With CD sales dwindling, digital downloads are on the rise. We can host and sell your album a a digital download through our website.
Create a "Buy now" button for your website
Have a website? Great. We have a "buy now" button for you. When you place that on your site, people click on the buy-button and we'll take care of the rest.
"But we're starving artists. We can't afford all of that!"
That's ok. You don't need to do it all in one shot. We can come up with a financing solution for getting your records pressed. For example, we could fund your vinyl pressing by selling digital downloads first. The proceeds from those sales can go towards pressing your album. The more you sell, the fancier your record can be.
To give you an idea of the cost, here are 3 of the most basic options:
300 records: $1899 +shipping/taxes (~$6.33 per record)
200 records: $1649 +shipping/taxes (~$8.24 per record)
100 records: $1299 +shipping/taxes (~$12.99 per record)
These options come with lacquers & stampers, 12”, 140 gram black vinyl, black and white labels for A and B side, white or black disco jacket (no spine, no printing and 4” die-cut hole), shrink wrapping & packaging. These options don't include test pressings. Those are what make presses break down...
Funky Moose Records will add a monthly "stocking fee" to keep artists motivated to keep selling their albums. The more we sell, the less you pay.
